Froin's syndrome

Changes that occur in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) following a complete block in its circulation. The CSF below the block is of a yellow colour (xanthochromic), has a very high protein content and often clots on standing. (Georges Froin, 1874–1932, French neurologist).
