(1939 –2011)Architect in the Phoenix area who also served two terms in the Arizona House of Representatives in the 1970s. His father, Kemper Goodwin, was also an architect (with two buildings on the National Register of Historic Places in Arizona) with whom Michael would later work. Works include the Tempe Municipal Building (1970), an upside-down pyramid designed to shade and cool itself; Marcos de Niza High School (1971), considered a revolution in open space campus design; and Corona del Sol High School (1976), a very early design using solar technology.
