Goody, Joan

(1936–2009)A founding partner of Boston’s Goody, Clancy & Associates with a long and varied project list including Boston’s Harbor Point. Goody also cited the restoration of H. H. Richardson’s Trinity Church at Copley Square in Boston; a federal courthouse in Wheeling, WV; the Salomon Center for Teaching at Brown University; Heaton Court, an affordable housing project in Stockbridge, MA; and the transformation of St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Washington, DC, into the new headquarters for the Department of Homeland Security. Goody helped found an advocacy group called Women Architects, Landscape Architects and Planners (WALAP) in 1970.
