Location:On Highway 1, 6.5 miles south of Rio Road in Carmel (18 miles north of Big Sur).
Facilities:Hiking trails.
Activities:Fishing, hiking, wildlife viewing.
Special Features:Park includes two miles of beachfront and features diverse coastalvegetation, with trails running from ocean beaches into dense redwoodgroves. Sea lions, harbor seals, and sea otters frequent the coastalwaters, and California gray whales pass close by during their yearlymigration.
