fron·tal gait

(frŭnt'ăl gāt) Ambulation disorder caused by stroke, neoplasm, or cerebral insult, characterized by a wide base of support, difficulty initiating steps, and short step length with exaggerated arm movement.

frontal gait

Difficulty in walking caused by stroke, tumor, or atrophy of the frontal lobes of the brain. Affected persons have difficulty lifting their feet from the floor, take short steps, and walk with their feet widely separated. See also: gait
