Gas-Diesel Engine

a gas engine that takes in a gas-air mixture and compresses it until the small amount of liquid fuel injected at the end of the compression stroke is ignited (as in a diesel). The compression ratio is approximately 15 to 1. Gas-diesel engines are used at gas-pumping stations in the petroleum and gas industry.
