FY1 training post

FY1 training post

A training post for a recent medical graduate (junior doctor) in the UK, which may be taken as a “stand-alone” period with the view that the doctor will not take a second (FY2) year of training, or, more commonly, as part of a 2-year Foundation (Training) Programme (as defined under UK’s Modernising Medical Careers), at the end of which the junior will seek specialist or GP training.
