Fry, Colin

(religion, spiritualism, and occult)

Colin Fry is a British psychic medium who hosts the television show 6th Sense With Colin Fry. This first aired in 2002 and was an immediate success.

Like so many mediums and psychics, Fry was aware of his abilities at a very early age. He says, “When you’re a little child, people think it’s endearing. Then you grow into your teens and you tell the people you go to school with, they are either totally fascinated by it or totally freaked out by it.” He became a professional medium at seventeen, originally appearing under the name “Lincoln” and presenting physical phenomena. However, at one séance in the 1990s, a light was inadvertently turned on that seemed to show Fry standing holding up a trumpet when he was supposedly bound in a chair. There has been much controversy over this incident, with Fry’s explanation accepted by some but rejected by others.

Fry was a member of the Noah’s Ark Society—dedicated to investigating and promoting physical mediumship—until it was dissolved in 2004. In recent years he has become a Director of the Leslie Flint Trust. In 2000, Fry became a principle tutor at the International College of Spiritual Science & Healing in Ramsbergsgarden, Sweden, and in February 2003, he bought the college. Today he promotes courses offered there by himself and other mediums, psychics, and healers. The stated purpose of the college is, “To promote and advance spiritual gifts in the students, being clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, healing, psychic art, physical mediumship, psychic abilities.” The foundation of the college is based on the principles of Spiritualism and certification is offered in many fields, after examinations and proven demonstrations.
