Ghurian

a city in western Afghanistan. Population, about 10,000. Situated south of the highway linking Afghanistan (Herat) with Iran. It is the center of one of the large agricultural oases in the Hari River valley. Grain, beans, olives, and vegetables are grown there. It is also a center for fruit orchards and viticulture.
