Ichthyophis

a genus of apodal amphibians of the family Coeciliidae. The body, which reaches a length of 50 cm, has small, inconspicuous calcareous scales on the skin. There are about 30 species, distributed in South and Southeast Asia. The most common species is I. glutinosus.
