Ilarvirus

[′ī·lə‚vī·rəs] (virology) A genus of the family Bromoviridae that is characterized by three types of particles, which are quasi-isometric, different in diameter, and contain four types of ribonucleic acid (1.1, 0.9, 0.7, 0.3 × 106) separately encapsidated, except for the 3 × 105 species which may be found in combination with others; the type species is tobacco streak virus. Also known as tobacco streak virus group.
