释义	Simon de Montfort1 /ˈmɒntfət / (Circa 1165–1218), French soldier. From 1209 he led the Albigensian Crusade against the Cathars in southern France. Simon de Montfort2 /ˈmɒntfət / Earl of Leicester (circa 1208–65), English soldier, born in Normandy. He was the son of Simon de Montfort. He led the baronial opposition to Henry III, defeating the king at Lewes in 1264 and summoning a Parliament (1265). He was defeated and killed by reorganized royal forces under Henry’s son (later Edward I).
