A supporter or partisan of a queen; specifically (in the 19th cent.) (a) a supporter of Queen Caroline against George IV; (b) a supporter of Queen Isabella of Spain against Don Carlos; (c) a Maori loyal to Queen Victoria rather than to the Maori king.
