释义	John Crowe Ransom /ˈransəm / (1888–1974), American poet and critic. With The New Criticism (1941) he started a school of criticism which rejected the Victorian emphasis on literature as a moral force and advocated a close analysis of textual structure in isolation from the social background of the text.
