释义 | Ratz/rats/Now historical noun A secular, left-wing Israeli political party established in 1973, which in 1992 joined with the Mapam and Shinui parties to form the Meretz Party. Origin1980s; earliest use found in The Christian Science Monitor. From modern Hebrew RṢ (read as raṣ) from the letters rēš and ṣāḏēh, which were chosen (apparently arbitrarily) to identify the party's ballots. |
