Each of three isomeric carboxylic acids derived from resorcinol, used as intermediates in the manufacture of dyestuffs and drugs.
- Formula: C6H3(OH)2COOH. The individual isomers are: α-resorcylic acid (3, 5-dihydroxybenzoic acid), β-resorcylic acid (2, 4-dihydroxybenzoic acid), and γ-resorcylic acid (2, 6-dihydroxybenzoic acid)..
