Anxiety or panic as a reaction to (one's own or more usually another's) homosexuality, especially that supposedly provoked in a heterosexual man by another man's homosexual advances, and sometimes claimed as the cause of violent conduct (frequently in North American legal contexts, especially attributive in gay panic defence).
