释义 | Rightboys/ˈrʌɪtbɔɪz/(also Right Boys) noun In plural An agrarian protest movement active in south-west Ireland in 1785-8, which acted in the name of the symbolic leader ‘Captain Right’, and whose chief grievance was the level of tithes payable to the Church of Ireland; individual branches of the movement later put forward a variety of other demands relating to the social and economic conditions of rural workers.
