释义	Oliver Heaviside /ˈhɛvɪsʌɪd / (1850–1925), English physicist and electrical engineer, important in the development of telephone communication and telegraphy. In 1902 he suggested (independently of A. E. Kennelly) the existence of a layer in the atmosphere responsible for reflecting radio waves back to earth.
