From post-classical Latin adlubescentia from classical Latin adlubēscent-, adlubēscēns, present participle of adlubēscere (also allubēscere) to be pleasing, gratify (from ad + lubet (also libet) it pleases + -ēscere) + -ia; compare -ence.
