Advent candle

1Each of four candles (often set in a ring or wreath), lit on successive Sundays in Advent; (sometimes also) a fifth central candle lit on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and symbolizing the birth of Jesus.
2A candle marked with the days of Advent and allowed to burn a section at a time on each day.
