A plant of the genus Aethionema (family Brassicaceae (Cruciferae)), which comprises mostly low-growing plants with showy racemes of pink, lilac, yellow, or white flowers, native to the Mediterranean but cultivated elsewhere as garden plants; also called stone cress.
