1 Geology and Palaeontology (In form Pampean). Designating or relating to a series of sedimentary deposits of the Pleistocene epoch present across much of the pampas of South America, and the fauna (especially mammals) extant during their period of deposition.
2 Generally. Of, relating to, or characteristic of the pampas, or the region of South America dominated by the pampas.
