释义 | Dorothy Hodgkin/ˈhɒdʒkɪn / (1910–94), British chemist, born in Egypt; full name Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin. She developed Sir Lawrence Bragg’s X-ray diffraction technique for investigating the structure of crystals and applied it to complex organic compounds. Using this method she determined the structures of penicillin, vitamin B12, and insulin. Nobel Prize for Chemistry (1964). |
