释义	William Shockley /ˈʃɒkli / (1910–89), British-born American physicist; full name William Bradford Shockley. Shockley and his researchers at Bell Laboratories developed the transistor in 1948 and in 1958 he shared with them the Nobel Prize for Physics. He later became a controversial figure because of his views on a supposed connection between race and intelligence.
