释义	Parkman, Francis /ˈpärkmən / (1823–93), US historian. He traveled the Oregon Trail in 1846 to improve his health and later wrote an account of his journey in The California and Oregon Trail (1849). He also wrote The Discovery of the Great West (1869) and A Half-Century of Conflict (1892).
