A form of group analysis developed by American psychoanalyst Trigant Burrow (1875–1950), intended to discover and resolve neurosis arising from the posited tension between the responses of the human species conceived as an organismic whole and the behaviour arising from the use of language and symbol by the self-aware individual in the context of human society.
