partial dislocation

1 Surgery a dislocation in which the relationship of the bones is disturbed but contact between them is maintained; the fact of being so disturbed.
2 Crystallography a dislocation in which the displacement involved, as represented by the Burgers vector, is not an integral multiple of the lattice spacing.
