A way of connecting two single-phase transformers so that a three-phase voltage can be converted to a two-phase one (or to two single-phase ones), or vice versa.

On the three-phase side the midpoint of the main transformer is connected to one terminal of the second transformer; the remaining three terminals form the terminals for the three-phase supply. The two-phase supply is taken from the two pairs of terminals on the other side..
