A series of lines in the ultraviolet spectrum of atomic hydrogen, between 122 and 91 nanometres.When the electron returns all the way to the innermost orbital the photon emitted has more energy and forms a line in the Lyman series found in the higher energy, ultraviolet portion of the spectrum.
