A kind of Regge pole with even signature, occurring at an angular momentum value of 1 when there is no momentum transferred between the interacting particles, which has zero isospin, charge, hypercharge, and baryon number, and which is regarded as representing a virtual particle (a pomeron) exchanged during the interaction.
