Jungian denotes the theories of Carl Jung who was initially a follower of Freud. However, Jung questioned Freud's emphasis on sexual libido, and developed his own more metaphysical account of mind – with the ‘collective unconscious’, seeing ‘archetype’ symbols, especially of alchemy, as significant.
