Eleanor Roosevelt

- (1884-1962) the wife of US President Franklin D Roosevelt, whom she married in 1905. She was also the niece of President Theodore Roosevelt. She was known for supporting the rights of women and minority groups. After her husband's death, she became a US representative at the United Nations and helped to write the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (1948).
