Richard Attenborough

- (1923-2014) an English film actor, producer and director. He acted in many famous British films, including Brighton Rock (1947). His most successful film as director and producer was Gandhi (1982), which won eight Oscars. He was made a knight in 1976 and a life peer in 1993. David Attenborough is his brother.
