Petworth House

- a stately home near Chichester in southern England. It was first built in the Middle Ages but most of it was rebuilt in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is well known for its collection of paintings by Turner, who used to stay there as a guest, and for its garden, designed by 'Capability' Brown.
