the Society for Promoting Christian Knowledge
- a British organization that was established in 1698 to provide religious education for children in Britain and for people in the British Empire. Today it is mainly concerned with publishing the Bible and other religious books, and selling them in its own shops in Britain. The SPCK also aims to develop the knowledge about Christianity of those people in other countries who are already Christians.
