Robert Ludlum

- (1927-2001) a US author who wrote more than 20 novels which have been translated into 32 languages in 40 countries. The stories are about spies (= people employed to find out secret information) and international crime. Some of his novels have been made into films, including The Bourne Identity (1980), The Bourne Supremacy (1986) and The Bourne Ultimatum (1990). His other novels include The Matlock Paper (1973), The Icarus Agenda (1988) and The Matarese Countdown (1997).
