Ben Hogan

- (1912-97) a US golf player who won more than 60 major competitions, including the US Open four times (1948, 1950, 1951 and 1953), the PGA twice (1946 and 1948), the Masters twice (1951 and 1953) and the British Open once (1953). He was called 'Bantam Ben' because of his short height. (A bantam is a small hen.)
