- (1963-2016) a popular British pop singer and song writer from the early 1980s. He was born in London and had a Greek Cypriot father and an English mother. He first became famous as a member of the group Wham!, and then began a successful career on his own in 1985. His albums included Faith (1987), Listen Without Prejudice Volume 1 (1990) and Patience (2004).
