- Charles Burgess Fry (1872-1956) one of the greatest English sportsmen of all time. He represented England in international cricket, football and athletics (= sports including running and jumping). He held the world record (= best performance) for long jump for 21 years, and was the first person in the history of cricket to score 100 runs (= points) six times in a row.
