Spike Milligan

- (1918-2002) a British comedian and writer, born in India. He first became famous as one of the stars of The Goon Show, much of which he also wrote, in the 1950s. He later appeared in a number of television series of his own. Milligan also wrote children's books, poetry, comic novels and humorous books based on his experiences in the British army in the Second World War. His crazy and original style of humour has had a great influence on British comedy.
