the North Circular
/ðə ˌnɔːθ ˈsɜːkjələ(r)/
/ðə ˌnɔːrθ ˈsɜːrkjələr/
- a series of roads that join together and pass through many areas of North London. They join the South Circular at the Thames, east and west of London. Until the M25 was built the North Circular formed the main road round London. It still carries a lot of traffic, which often moves very slowly.
