Kent State University

- a US university in the town of Kent, Ohio. It is mainly remembered for an incident there on 4 May 1970, when four students were shot and killed and nine wounded by members of the Ohio National Guard as they protested against the Vietnam War. As a result many people turned against the Nixon government and the Vietnam War.
