“Two very important bones of the holotype were partially damaged,” says Martin Röper, director of the museum.

It seemed that the holotype and the Florence specimen were found together, and that Razin had studied the former and sold the latter.

The L. superstes holotype consists of a partial skull, articulated cervical, pectoral and anterior dorsal vertebrae, and various bones from the pectoral region and forelimb.
