单词 | scatological |
释义 | scatological (once / 67539 pages) adj Anything scatological refers to excrement — urine or feces — especially in a deliberately disgusting way. This is a word for obscene material, usually in a movie, TV show or book, but not just any obscene material. A joke about sex might be pornographic, but it's not scatological, because scatological material has to do with what children call number one and number two. However, talking about excrement childishly or formally doesn't quality as scatological: scatological material is as gross and repulsive as possible. It might be funny to some, but it's definitely going to offend others.
