DMD, the most common form of muscular dystrophy, is a rare genetic condition that leads to ongoing muscular deterioration and weakness.

Roberts worked alongside Burnett to understand some of the challenges faced by people with DMD, visiting with several people affected by it.

DMD, which mainly affects boys, stems from defects in the gene coding for dystrophin, a protein that helps strengthen and protect muscle fibers.
