Tisherman spent a decade inserting catheters into the femoral arteries of dozens of large, custom-bred hunting dogs, bleeding them out in less than five minutes.

Her dialysis port caught on one of the seats and ripped out of her leg, cutting into her femoral artery and spraying blood everywhere.

“Dirty sniper,” the doctor added, pointing out that the soldier was shot in the groin, a direct hit to the femoral artery.
