释义
commingle

v

To commingle is to blend together, like flavors in soup. On a hot summer day, mosquitoes and gnats might commingle into one dark cloud. Don’t put them in a soup, though, commingle just means “to mix.”
The verb commingle is a slightly literary way to say "mix until blended.” The book Charlotte’s Web commingles sadness and humor. You might commingle your love of candy and edible utensils into one delicious spoon. If you combine the money you were saving to buy books with your fun money, you commingle your funds. Commingle is formed with the Latin prefix com-, "together," and mingle from the Middle English myngen, "to mix."
