The story takes place in what was then the Hijaz province and the film was shot in Jordan's Wadi Rum valley.

Hours after Thursday's bombing, a previously unheard of Islamic State affiliate, which calls itself Hijaz Province of the Islamic State, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Hijaz is a reference to the historic western part of Saudi Arabia that is home to Islam’s holiest sites of Mecca Medina.
