stimpart Sc.|ˈstɪmpərt| Also -ard. [? Contracted from saxteent (sixteenth) part (sc. of a firlot). Cf. forpit.] a. A measure of capacity, the fourth part of a peck: = forpit, lippy. (Inaccurately glossed by Burns as ‘the eighth part of a Winchester bushel’.) b. transf. The fourth part of a ‘rig’ or ridge of land (yielding a quarter of a peck of flax seed).
